2. Sequins
all the ladies in sparkly dresses last night made my heart swell. Nothing says Happy New Year like temporarily blinding anyone who uses flash photography.
3. These books
I love love love these Penguin Classics covers. My sister received the copy of Jane Eyre for Xmas and I was immediately jealous. These are just so pretty! I am contemplating rebuying all of my favorites just for the covers... that's justifiable, right?

Emilie: Nope. I was never a drinker. I always smoked weed.
Me: What about mimosas?
Emilie: I really never went out and drank. I just smoked weed.
Me: ...but mimosas are brunch drinks.
Emilie: well I smoked weed with brunch.

After a month in transition, I am all moved in. I am starting out 2011 in a new house. I am living with the man I love. I am closer to my family. I have great friends. I am about to be an auntie. I am part of an unexpectedly amazing blogging community. I am happy.
